WATER DISTRIBUTION, COLLECTION, AND DITCHES

  • Your water meter is leaking or broken.
  • You need the water turned off at the curb valve
  • There is water bubbling up in the street by your house.
  • There is no water flowing through your ditch.

DITCHES:  The City has 25 miles of irrigation ditches.   Our ditch water rights run from May 1st through September 15th.   When the water is turned on, it takes some time for maintenance, cleanup, and repairs.   Water is usually to town by the 15th of May.  

Please Note - If the irrigation ditch is flooding your yard, please call Public Works during business hours or dispatch after-hours. 

FOR AFTER HOURS OR WEEKEND EMERGENCIES

Call dispatch at 641-8200. The electric and water crews maintain after-hours emergency services.

The City of Gunnison has a septic dump station. It is free for camper and RV use. Click here for directions. 

Potable water is available for recreational RV use at Jorgensen Park.  Please limit to 100 gallons or less.  (When temperatures drop to freezing, the water is shut off for the season)  Click here for directions.
