Christmas TreeThe Electric Department oversees two electric substations and approximately 65 miles of overhead and underground electric lines. The City of Gunnison electric system serves approximately 4300 electric customers.

  • You don't have power – Check your breakers first, if they are not tripped give us a call.
  • Your street light or contract light is out.
  • You need the electricity turned off at your house.
  • You want to upgrade your electric service.
  • Your electric meter is broken or not working

Welcome to Gunnison

Gunnison is a small mountain community on the western slope of Colorado with a population of approximately 6,560 full time residents. The population increases annually with the influx of tourism and Western Colorado University students numbering an additional 2,500. The City of Gunnison is the county seat for Gunnison County.
