Scholarships


There are scholarships available for all Gunnison Parks & Recreation Programs. Scholarships can be applied to ONE program or a membership, for up to $100.  Participants can receive 4 scholarships throughout a calendar year and are issued based on Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall Program season.  Please contact the Department of Health and Human Services to check eligibility and apply for the scholarships throughout the year.

Attention ALL Gunnison County Veterans
There is a health and wellness scholarship funding available for Rec Center Memberships and Punch Cards.  Contact the Veterans Service Office at 970.641.7919 about these opportunities!

Welcome to Gunnison

Gunnison is a small mountain community on the western slope of Colorado with a population of approximately 6,560 full time residents. The population increases annually with the influx of tourism and Western Colorado University students numbering an additional 2,500. The City of Gunnison is the county seat for Gunnison County. Gunnison has a rich history of ranching, agriculture, mining, tourism and outdoor recreation opportunities that bring many more people through the community.
