Gunnison/Hinsdale Combined Emergency Telephone Service Authority

Funds collected are used to pay for the cost and installation of equipment, charges to service suppliers, related personnel expenses, and other costs directly related to the continued operation of the emergency telephone services.
The governing board for the Authority consists of Eight voting members:
- Crested Butte Fire Protection District
- Town of Crested Butte
- City of Gunnison
- Gunnison County
- Gunnison Fire Protection District
- Gunnison Valley Health EMS
- Hinsdale County
- Town of Mt. Crested Butte
Board meetings are held quarterly to review financial transactions and discuss current and future needs of the Authority.
911 Surcharge Remittances
Current surcharge = $3.00 per line per month
Applicable to landlines, wireless and VOIP
Allowable Vendor Service Fee = 2%
Filing Frequency = $15 or less per month, annually; Under $300 per month, quarterly; $300 or more per month, monthly.
