The City of Gunnison is launching a public comment period to solicit community feedback on considerations for the adoption of the 2021 editions of the International Building Codes. As part of the City’s Climate Action Plan, the City is planning on adopting the more stringent 2021 International Energy Conservation Code provisions.  In order to meet the long term goals of the City and the State by requiring a higher level of energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities in our homes and businesses, we can begin to reduce our carbon footprint and our demand for fossil fuels.

Please review the slideshow to learn an overview of the significant energy code changes and timeline being considered for the adoption of the 2021 International Building Codes!
