7.12.2022 Public Meeting on Palisades Apartments Rehab Grant Application

The City of Gunnison will submit an application to the Colorado Division of Housing (DOH). The purpose of this application is to request up to $9,000,000 to acquire and rehab 60 rental units at 600 N. Colorado St. Gunnison, CO 81230. The request of funding from DOH is to benefit persons with low and moderate incomes by increasing the availability of affordable housing in Gunnison. It is not the intent to cause displacement from any existing housing; however, if persons are displaced from their existing residences reasonable housing alternatives shall be offered.

 All interested persons are encouraged to contact the applicant for further information.  Written comments should be sent to City of Gunnison, City Hall, Attention: Erica Boucher, City Clerk, PO Box 239, 201 W. Virginia, Gunnison, CO 81230 or eboucher@gunnisonco.gov and will be forwarded to DOH for consideration during the application process.

 Members of the public may participate in the public meeting. The public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, July 12, 2022, at 5:30pm in City Hall, Council Chambers, 201 W. Virginia Avenue Gunnison, CO 81230. If reasonable accommodations (including auxiliary communicative aids and services) are needed during this hearing contact Erica Boucher, City Clerk at eboucher@gunnisonco.gov by 4:00pm Friday, July 8, 2022 so that appropriate assistance can be made available.
