MEMBERSHIPS

Older adults (ages 55 and up) have many membership choices at the Gunnison Community Recreation Center, including Gunnison Senior Center memberships! Please find the ones that suit your interests!

1. FREE Memberships - The Rec Center honors the following Medicare health benefit programs:
  • Silver Sneakers®
  • Renew Active or One-Pass®
  • Silver & Fit®
These programs provide FREE Rec & Senior Center memberships. They also provide FREE Pickleball and most of our older adult fitness classes! You can find out about your eligibility by calling your health plan, or asking the Rec Center front desk staff or Senior Center Coordinator to assist you. 

2. Paid Rec Center Memberships (for those without health plan benefits)
NOTE: These are all annual costs. 3 month and 6 month memberships are also available - CLICK HERE for more info.
  • Adult Individual (adults thru 61 years of age): $235
  • Adult Pair: $270
  • Active Adult Individual (ages 62 - 69): $130
  • Active Adult Pair: $230
  • 70+ Individual: $100
  • 70+ Pair: $175
  • Family: $295 (please see Rec Center staff to discuss)
These memberships include a FREE Senior Center membership, as well as a 50% discount on Silver Sneakers (senior fitness) class punch cards.

3. Senior Center ONLY Memberships
Anyone age 55 or older can purchase an annual membership for the Senior Center without purchasing a Rec Center membership. 
$30 for individuals; $55 for pairs.
Benefits: 
  • 50% discount on Silver Sneakers (senior fitness) class punch cards.
  • Eligibility to participate in all Senior Center activities and programs.

Gunnison is a small mountain community on the western slope of Colorado with a population of approximately 6,560 full time residents. The population increases annually with the influx of tourism and Western Colorado University students numbering an additional 2,500. The City of Gunnison is the county seat for Gunnison County. Gunnison has a rich history of ranching, agriculture, mining, tourism and outdoor recreation opportunities that bring many more people through the community.
